The Buddha's meditation statue is from after Buddha attained enlightenment; but Buddha's journey before enlightenment was from a prince to Buddhahood. That journey has not been depicted much in paintings yet. That is why an attempt has been made to show this journey of Buddha. Buddha's memories of that time, the struggle in his mind, the instability in his heart and his longing for truth — all these feelings have been tried to be expressed through this work of art. The inspiration behind this sculpture is to reach the people more effectively with the journey from prince Siddhartha to the enlightened Buddha. — Dr. Sachin Kharat
